About The Powk

The Powk was born from a simple idea—to create a cleaner, more precise hand poke tattoo tool. Most tools on the market require the needle to pass through the tool itself, compromising hygiene and precision. We built The Powk differently. Our non-needle tip contact design means the needle never touches the tool, keeping every setup clean, sterile and consistent.

Our Story
I’m Tom, a travelling Handpoke artist of about 6 years. From the beginning I started using sticks and pencils to support my needles but I quickly wanted a tool more professional, personal and permanent. 

Based near London, The Powk started as a personal project to solve a problem we experienced firsthand as handpoke tattoo artists. What began as a rusty old prototype has grown into a range of premium hand poke tattoo tools, each crafted from a different material to suit different styles, preferences and experience levels.

Why We Built It
Every tattoo artist works differently. Some prefer a lightweight tool for long extended sessions. Others want a heavier, weighted tool for stability and control during detailed work. That’s why we offer four materials—aluminium, brass, surgical stainless steel and carbon fiber—so every artist can find their perfect tool.
